The northern region where this volcano is located possess a great beauty and extraordinary wildlife. The vegetation strip located right above the lower rain forest area in Tilarán Mountain Range is known as cloud forest, being Arenal a “meeting point” where species from both ecosystems meet. The cone shape volcano along with the rainforest, the hanging bridges and the hotsprings become the main attraction in the area.
Our activities in Arenal includes the visit to the reserve of Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges. At this place, our guide will conduct a nature walk in the rain forest for about 2 hours. The path is fully accessible with protective rails and the surface is non slip concrete. Along the path you will find 6 suspension bridges and 10 stationary bridges, as well as a small waterfall named Morpho. The path is a 2 miles loop and most of it is within the primary, old, mature forest, you will really enjoy it!
After the walk you will take a short drive for 20 minutes to get to the hotsprings. The time for relaxation includes 1 hour. The facility includes, lockers, towels, showers and changing rooms.
